The A.C.A.E.C Board and staff decided at the beginning of this private home school satellite program (PSP) that we would not<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>be accredited by\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>state agencies<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>that authorize,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>empower<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>control<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the secular and moral standards of public high\u00a0<\/span><\/span>schools.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>This<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>policy of non-accreditation is intended to\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>affirm<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the God-given liberty of each family to choose the curriculum\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>they believe<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>is best for their student\u2019s natural abilities and needs, and to\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>support<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>those parents who purpose to lead their children in the study and practice of Christian life and living, self-education, and individual self-government. Because of the way some look at home schooling, home educated students have been challenged\u00a0<\/span><\/span>more and more<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>each year in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>attempting<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to enroll in universities, some junior college\u00a0<\/span><\/span>classes<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and some vocational schools<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>They have also been told they need to take the GED\u00a0<\/span><\/span>in order to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>apply to some medical programs, the CHP\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Academy<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and the correctional institutions.
